We have sent our first two Kindles to U.S. soldiers on active duty in Afghanistan, thanks to the support of those who have contributed to the project here at E-Books for Troops. The delivery also contains lights and camo jackets donated to EB4T by M-Edge Accessories.
The U.S. Postal Service offers reasonable rates to ship to military personnel in Afghanistan and elsewhere. It cost us $17.80 to send the package, which weighed just over five pounds. Sgt. Andre Corbin said mail is taking eight to fifteen days, and he will let us know when the package arrives. We’ll have more information on the soldiers receiving the Kindles in this pilot phase of the project as soon as the package arrives in Afghanistan.
Thanks to all of you who made this possible by your contributions!
